Temerity (n.) – boldness

The only way to scare off a shark, or a livid meth addict for that matter, is to demonstrate a certain level of temerity. For instance, bearing your teeth and shouting horrible things about bear/addicts’ mother should do the trick.  Whether or not this works on bears who happen to be meth addicts has yet to be determined.
