Laconic (adj.) – using few words; terse
She was attracted to laconic men. After she rescued Herbert from that box in the park, she was certain she’d found the man of her dreams. It turns out that his silent nature – and even that invisible box in the park – were part of his act. When she discovered he was a mime, she became distraught, grabbed his invisible rope, tied it around the box he was forever trapped in, and dumped his body in the river.
